For 25 years I have been making my Apple Walnut Tarts in rectangular-shaped removable bottom tart pans. I usually make two at a time. It's easy to arrange the apple slices in nice straight rows down the center of the rectangle pans. But alas, my rectangle tart pans are missing. I've searched high and low in the past two months and can't seem to find them. I seem to remember LOANING them to a friend last year, someone who was making dessert for a party and wanted to borrow my hard-to-find tart pans. But I can't remember who it was and my rectangle tart pans are absent for the fall baking season! I'm bummed. Perhaps I should post some "Missing" posters on trees and telephone poles around my neighborhood....
But, since I had friends over for dinner and wanted to make my Go-To Fall Dessert, I pulled out my larger, round tart pan and went to work. The apples slices weren't quite as orderly in this merry-go-round, but it was still just as tasty. My recipe is on my blog page to the right, under "Recipe Collection". You can even spot the photo of the rectangle-shaped tarts there!
Save us a piece we will be there Thursday!!!
